Liam Clancy's studio is located on Helvic Penninsula in Waterford County , overlooking scenic Dungarvan Bay.
It is an ideal working environment for musicians because of the peaceful country side, the magnificent scenery, the local pub with nightly sessions, the friendly accommodation and, of course, the features of the studio itself.
The later Clancy Brothers albums have been recorded here, as well as the recent releases of Clancy, O'Connell, & Clancy, Danú, Martin Murray, Joannie Madden, Canadian Band McGinty, Warp Four and many others.
The Studio is ideally suited to traditional, folk, country, jazz and pop music. Thus, the sound is warm. Apart from the main recording area, there are 4 recording booths with glass doors and windows to achieve separation without blocking visual contact. A canteen, located above the main studio, provides everything necessary for a break from recording, such as a relaxing area and cooking facility. The control room can easily accommodate a full band including engineer & producer. The studio is very bright and you can enjoy an inspirational view of the bay from the main recording area. |
