I Think that my contract with AT&T is for unlimited data- anyway I hope that it is.
I recently came across some things associated with the passing of man about whom I always said, "That was Ronnie's song all along." . I heard Bono, the rest of U2, one of the Corrs, the surviving Dubliners, Sienaid O'Connor, Christy Moore, and the empty shell of a man, Shane Mc Gowan performing a ditty titled, "Here's to you Ronnie Drew".
This performance was followed by a song Ronnie could have patented his own, "The Auld Triangle". Ronnie was somewhat lighter, bald and clean shavened- but by God, it was Ronnie! No doubt about it!
Shane had two key roles in it. One chorus of "Easy n Slow" on the middle of the song and at the very end of it.
Seeing Ronnie's beaming face made the ultimate end easier for me to take. I gather that there is a statue on Steven's Green of Ronnie holding the hand of a little girl who's hair is done up in a black velvet band!
Eternal rest grant unto Ronnie Drew and let perpetual light shine upon him! As I've said before, God has impeccable taste in fine music. Luke, Ronnie, Cieran, Roy Williamson, Stan Rogers and now the whole kit n caboodle of the Clancy Brothers & Tommy Makem.
I wonder if there's a White Horse Tavern in the cellestial realms?

I am sure there is a White Horse Tavern up there and God is sitting on his throne listening to them sing. I just hope that I make it up there to hear them too. Have you heard Liam on youtube sing Cill Chais? It is in Irish but is beautiful. He opens with a story and a poem.
