Chicopee was my home away from home, Kielbasa Capital of the US........ The lead singer of Omaha's "The Turfmen" was from Chicopee. We went to college together in Vermont but I didn't find out he had 3 single sisters until he went to law school in Nebraska. Guess he didn't want them associating with bad companions.
His late father was on the Chicopee police force. I used to visit and his father would say "Grab your guitar, I'll get my badge, and we'll go out for a quick beer. Next thing I knew I was at the bar of the Polish National Club singing his favorite song, "The Butcher Boy", to the members.
Blue Seal Kielbasa is now available in my end of Massachusetts, Essex County. For a great sandwich, make yourself a Reuben but substitute kielbasa for the corned beef ...........
Tony, I have the DVD as well but seeing it on the large screen in the company of n auditorium full of like minded fans is a real treat |

Why is this called The Yellow Bittern? I've heard the song by Cathie Ryan but does it have to do with Liam's drinking? |
