I just watched the Pete Seeger - Live In Australia 1963 DVD and it was great fun. Although it wasn't the most enthusiastic audience I've seen, Pete's performances were great. As for Clancy/Makem/O'Connell covers you can find The Frozen Logger (a.k.a. Logger Lover), The Wild Rover, Windy Old Weather, Highland Laddie (a.k.a. Bonny Highland Laddie). In the special features you can find Overlanders, but I think it's titled Queensland Rover or something similar.
After seeing Pete in the Yellow Bittern, it was nice to see music our guys have sung in his performance.

P.S. Wild Rover was cool. He had just learned it that week, and had the lyrics written down in front of him. Not knowing a song is hardly a good enough reason to not perform it, I always say... |

That Live in Australia DVD is wonderful, all of it. One of the best things was the footage of Leadbelly.
But the concert itself is great. Did you notice that in the audience behind Pete was a young man who was a dead ringer for Ron Howard of Happy Days and Andy Griffith fame? Howard was only about nine years old in 1963, but this guy was the image of him as a teenager or early 20s.... |

The Overlanders is also known as The Queensland Overlander. |
