That is JUST what I felt like after I signed onto "Google" and heard "Bringing Home The Oil" for the first time!
I can't wait till I get my TWO computers and get to capture those little vignettes from WTTW.
BUT, first I have get own digs and place Happydale on Ashland in my most forgettable past!

So John I see arsenic & old lace has come through in your post.
Good luck hunting for the right place.
Don't forget to yell charge when heading
Up the stairs.
I know that I speak for everyone here
When I say, your a good man Charlie Brown.

Dave & Steve,
My allusion to "Happydale" is, in realiy giving that refuge from the elements more credit than it deserves.
My current place of sogern has better food and enough eye candy to keep my mind off my own petty woes. Enough of that!
Dave,
Are you also a devotee of that cinema classic!?!? I'm proud to know you! Cary Grant's portryal of the stunned Mortimer Brewster is great. Peter Lorre's Dr. Einstein is not be missed- especially whe HE signs the commitment papers Sending the hat trick to the loony bin! Don't forget the one aunt's refuses to read serves over "a complete stranger."

John, proud to count you among my message board friends, I remember when you sent me the music from the audio fidelity years of the Clancy Brothers. I am indeed a classic cinema buff, from the silent era through the forties. You also got to love that Raymond Massey played a great part too, apart from his portrayal of Lincoln which is his defining role. The aunt, Josephine Hull was also a treasure, she also was excellent in one of my kids favorite, HARVEY, with the great Jimmy Stewart. Any time spent teaching the youth of today about classic cinema is always a plus, expecially since most of their movies are remakes of classic's anyway, and lets not forget the music. I remember when an Irish Band came to play at my daughter's school, the teacher commented to my wife that all the kids were enjoying the show and dancing, but my daughter was the only one who knew all the words. That was in kindergarten, she's 18 now. Wish me luck.
Dave
