I am so glad to see a post from you, John, under the Clancy Bros. Festival. I have been wondering why you haven't been on the board. I met you at Pickle Bills several years ago, and have been amazed at your postings. You are a Clancy encyclopedia. Hang in there. I for one will be praying for you. Joanne |

As Smokey Robinson would say, "I Second That Emotion". Always good to hear from you. Hang tough...many of us here have you in our thoughts. All the best, Mike M. |

Joanne, I have been abent for so due to pure, old fashion, Yankee Laziness! I apologize. I see that in my absence, not much has taken place in the efforts that I feel were mine, and mine alone, to get two more albums based in concerts released in their entirety. Those would be "Live in Ireland" and "Freedom's Sons". I guess I'll have to let Eric Bogle chant the lament, "If wishes were fishes I know where I'd be Casting my nets in the dark rolling sea. And in net's empty whe it comes back to shore, I'd throw it away and go fishing no more.". |

John: I have two copies of Freedom's Sons and Two of Recorded Live in Ireland. How does one know if these are the concerts in their entirety? These are LPs. |

Joanne, I am certain that both of those albums are snapshts of an entire concert experience. That's why I am yapping so much about the release of the whole show as they FINALLY did with the "Carnegie Hall" recording. While Live in Ireland was being recorded, the BBC stepped In and made several modifications so a television show of about six songs, none of which appear on the release of the "Live" album. I can think of at least two songs that aren't on "Freedom's Sons" bit would probably appear on an in it's entirety release of that show |
